About Us

Cindy Stippich, Assistant

Cindy joined the staff in February of 2001. Cindy is usually in charge of the reception area…scheduling appointments, admitting patients, filling prescriptions, answering phones and questions, and discharging patients. When she is not serving as our frontline, Cindy may be helping to prepare our patients for surgery or aiding in the exam rooms. Cindy’s husband, Bill, is a paramedic/firefighter who saves both human and animal lives. They live in the Lima area with their Samoyed and 3 cats.

Michelle Seay, Assistant

Michelle joined the team in April 2006 as a technician’s assistant. Her previous work experiences included employment in the banking and retail sectors.

Michelle’s original job description was to assist the technicians with whatever they needed, such as surgical preparations, laboratory procedures, et cetera. However, she quickly climbed the ladder to become a significant aid in the front areas of the hospital as well. You will now find her assisting with exam room procedures and reception duties.

Michelle’s personal interests include styling hair for special occasions, reading, and web-surfing. She has two dogs, Greta and Gilly.

Mindy Lindsey, Assistant

Mindy has been a huge asset to the Baker Animal Hospital team since joining our staff in October of 2004. Four years of experience at Countryside Clinic in Ada and training in the human medicine field have made her indispensable.

Mindy’s previous work as a phlebotomist has been invaluable, as she does a large portion of the drawing and preparation of blood samples. Her other tasks include performing electrocardiograms, obtaining blood pressures, taking radiographs, and assisting in surgery. Mindy also spends a great deal of time assisting in the reception area and exam rooms.

Mindy’s professional interests include the more technical aspects of the hospital, such as surgical procedures and laboratory preparations. Currently she is enrolled in a distance education program to become a registered veterinary technician.

Her personal interests include Ohio State football, NASCAR, and tending to her menagerie of animals. She resides outside of Lima at their cattle farm with her husband, Aaron, and their pets.

Ashlee Graham, RVT

Ashlee joined the team at Baker Animal Hospital in December of 2006. She graduated from Columbus State Community College in November 2005 with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology.

Ashlee enjoys the technical aspects of her position. Topping the list include: assisting in exam rooms, administering injections, nursing care of hospitalized patients, collecting specimens for laboratory analysis, and preparing surgeries.

Ashlee’s previous experiences at a boarding and grooming facility make her a very versatile asset of Baker Animal Hospital.

Ashlee shares her home with two dogs (Spike and Smudge), three cats (Garfield, Kip, and Tigger), and her daughter (Thea; born in September 2006).

Nicole Pence, RVT

Nikki graduated from Stautzenberger College in Toledo in March of 2007.  As a registered veterinary technician (RVT), she is capable of performing nearly every task that a licensed veterinarian would normally complete.  The only exceptions are diagnosing diseases, prescribing drugs, or performing surgery.

Prior to joining the team at Baker Animal Hospital in November 2007, Nikki worked as a laboratory technician in northern Ohio.  As a result of her laboratory experience, Nikki has one bunny (Peter) and two guinea pigs (Wally and Weebee).

Nikki’s personal interests include drawing and getting together with friends.  Currently she is very busy planning a wedding with her fiancée, Dan Reichelder.  Their pending nuptials are slated for September 2008.

In 1990, Dr. Ryan married Dr. Ann Baker. Their daughter, Elizabeth, was born in 1991.

Dr. Ryan’s professional interests include internal medicine and surgery.

His other hobbies include scuba diving and snow skiing.  He has been a member of the Veterinary Professional Quest for over 15 years. This organization has convened at least annually for continuing education and snow skiing.

Dr. Adam Ferguson

Dr. Adam Ferguson is a 1993 graduate of Ada High School. He attended The Ohio State University and graduated in 2001 with his DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree.

Dr. Ferguson came to work at Baker Animal Hospital immediately after graduation for one year.  He then transferred to a larger practice just outside of Ft. Wayne for two years. In 2004, the lure of small-town life and a more personal practice style brought Dr. Ferguson back to Baker Animal Hospital.

Dr. Ferguson’s professional interests include client service, staff management, preventative medicine, behavior medicine, and dentistry. His goal is to use technology to enhance the care of his patients and the satisfaction and compliance of his clients.

Dr. Ferguson’s hobbies include waterskiing and playing basketball. He loves doing both of these sports with his wife (Kristen) and three sons (Brice, Riley, and Wyatt). Most evenings his family will be found at their house playing or reading together. They currently reside outside of Ada with their cat (Cali) and two dogs (Ace and Moose).
